Dr. Shambhunath Singh Research Foundation is working since beginning of 1990s on issues like child centred community development, child rights, women empowerment, gender issues, human rights, urban development and environment protection in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Over the period, the organisation has marked its presence as a committed, target oriented development agency, guided by professional values, with long term objectives to pursue integrated community development.
SRF works in rather challenging situation with challenging communities. As resources with SRF are limited, role of volunteerism comes in handy. Several volunteers have played important and critical roles in the past in furthering the cause SRF espouses for. These volunteers have come from diverse backgrounds and for all of them association with SRF has been an enriching experience. SRF always maintains communication with the volunteers who have contributed to the organisation.
Anyone can volunteer for SRF. It is indeed immaterial if a prospective volunteer is a student, a teacher, a professional, a social scientist, or a housewife. Education or degree of prospective volunteer is also immaterial. What matters is the presence of the spirit of volunteerism in the person.
