Child Centered Community Development (CCCD)
Child Rights are ensured through participatory methods such as formation and regular conduction of ‘Bal Paharua,’ a democratic group formed in every village to provide child protection, where children can raise their concerns, find solutions and get introduced with the stakeholders related to child protection regime. Conducting campaign against child marriage, ensuring child labor free villages and communities through running establishing and functioning of Block Child Protection Committees and Village Child Protection Committees. Providing institutional care facilities for children including counseling, repatriation, vocational skills, etc. to “children in need of care and protection.”
In collaboration with Plan India, SRF works in 34 villages of Aurayi Block of Bhadohi District to ensure holistic development of child development, working on the themes of education, W.A.S.H., child-protection, and economic development of mothers and youth. This multi-faceted project is supported by PLAN-India a chapter of PLAN-International federation.
